Impregnated diamond bits are the most commonly used bits in mineral exploration because they have the widest range of applications. Carefully selected high-quality synthetic diamond grades are distributed deep within the matrix series of the impregnated bits. The matrix layer of the crown contains a uniform distribution of these crystals embedded in a powder metal bond. Our impregnated bit matrix is designed to expose new diamonds to the cutting face of the bit as wear occurs. Due to this effect, a fast penetration rate can be maintained.

Our impregnated diamond core drill bits are designed to provide the best penetration rate and bit life necessary to keep diamond drilling costs to a minimum. The optimum diamond size, concentration and matrix type depend on the hardness and abrasiveness of the formation to be drilled.
